Travel Soccer Tryouts are fast approaching and I hope you will consider the LOBOS travel soccer organization in June. LOBOS – Lake Orion Brandon Oxford Select (LOBOS) is the premier travel soccer program in the local region. We are the official travel club for the OOSL, many of our coaches are past or present board members of the OOSL. We attract the best players from the surrounding area and our teams play at the highest level in preparation for High School and College Soccer.

At first, the Travel Soccer programs can seem overwhelming but there is a natural progression. Soccer players in our area, usually start in the OOSL house program. The more dedicated players, who are looking to take their soccer play to the next level, choose Travel Soccer. Travel Soccer plays the fall / spring season, similar to house but ½ of our games are played outside of the area. In the winter we play indoor soccer and have available indoor training sessions.

At the younger age groups, all our LOBOS teams play in the Michigan Youth Soccer League (MYSL). This league is apprised of travel teams from our surrounding area, Rochester, Clarkston, Troy etc. There are 5 of these leagues in Michigan, as an example the Novi, Plymouth, Canton teams play in the Western Suburban Soccer Leagues (WSSL).

As the LOBOS teams improve, there is still another goal – the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program – MSPSP. The best teams in Michigan play in this league; this league attracts the best teams and the best players from all over Michigan. Only the best teams from MYSL, WSSL etc. make it into the MSPSP league.

LOBOS competes in this league and all our teams that are eligible (age restrictions) make it into the MSPSP league. This is by far, the most advanced league in the state and the ultimate league in Michigan.

There are numerous choices for travel soccer throughout Michigan. LOBOS is the #1 club in the Lake Orion / Oxford / Brandon area since it was established in 1978. LOBOS is a non-profit organization, who have ultimate goal to train our kids in this area to the highest level. Not all Soccer Travel clubs have the same motivation as LOBOS – we strive to keep the costs low but at the same time provide the best, most qualified coaches / trainers available.

LOBOS has more players on the Lake Orion and Oxford High School soccer programs than any other travel club. Coaches and Trainers in our clubs require coaching licenses from United States Soccer Federation (USSF)
